The unfortunate truth is that the province of Ontario gets quite a lot of car accidents every single year. See if you are injured
Your body is very fragile when you compare it to the machine that you operate so it can easily get damaged by unplanned movements. In certain situations your injuries might not be apparent immediately – they might manifest in a few days. In other situations they will more than obvious.
Move to a safe location
You should make sure that the traffic keeps flowing if that’s possible. As soon as you are through, make sure that you stay at a safe location. Do not just stand by the car, regardless of how minor the accident might be. Stay on the side where the traffic is not so busy. You don’t want to be in another accident on the road, so stay safe.
Exchange information
You will be mostly annoyed if you are involved in an accident of the kind. Minor damages to your vehicle are likely to be a significant inconvenience in relation with your traffic. However, you shouldn’t let this bother you too much – get the opposite side’s relevant information and determine whether or not you need to involve the police. In the majority of the situations you wouldn’t need to get them involved as you would be capable of handling the matter on your own.

Of course, it’s highly advisable that you get your lawyer to help you out with all the necessary paperwork which has to be presented to the insurance company. Furthermore, if you get the assistance of a lawyer in the matter the insurance company is far less likely to reject your claims and the entire thing is going to go a lot smoother. This is something particularly convenient and you need to take it into proper account.
